EDINBURG VOLUNTEER FIRE & RESCUE DEPARTMENT
ENGINE 266
Engine 266 is a 1979 Dodge PowerWagon equipped for
fighting brush fires. 266 carries 300 gallons of water, a pump
rated at 350 gallons per minute, and has two hose reels plus plumbed
discharge nozzles angled toward the ground mounted to the rear
and sides. Engine 266 has 4 wheel drive and a PTO driven winch
on the front bumper to ready it for off road field fires. Members
of the EVFD built this truck from scratch, starting with a truck
purchased as surplus from the nearby U.S. Army Ravenna Arsenal.
