Power Jams
Forget the fluff of all the cheer-leaders, and what you have left are 15 solid tracks of high-energy power-pop music.  And with few exceptions, every one of them is a solid piece of work.  I recognized almost every song on this disc when I bought it, and the few I didn’t recognize immediately went from “unknown” to “swimming in my head” status.  A few tunes we’ve seen before like Raze’s “I Need Your Love (Analog Love Mix)”, DC Talk’s “Jesus Is Just Alright”, and Crystal Lewis’s “God’s Been Good To Me”.  The new versions of up-and-comers are what truly make this disc memorable.  How about a Delirious remix on “Louder Than The Radio” or a Newsboys remix on “Shine”, or maybe even an Audio Adrenaline remix on “Free Ride”.  The bonus baby on this disc is a tune many folks have heard about but that few in Christian music circles have actually heard – the controversial “Pray” by MC Hammer.  (Most folks don’t know about his conversion before his pop career began)  If you want high energy, then this is the disc for you!
