FAST EDDIE of L.A.'s homepage

Yeah, it's me again.  I've played around with my last website, but never did put a great deal of variety into it.  I guess it's time to change that, huh? Well, this minor overhaul is a bit of a start.

Okay, let me say a bit about myself. I was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, except for a couple of years in Hammond Louisiana, I've been an Angeleno most of my life. I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University back in 1986.  Dang... it's hard to believe that it's been that long ago.  In some ways, it seems like just a couple of years or something.  Presently, I'm doing the long term guest teacher thing with Los Angeles Unified School District.  Well... it's cool and it does pay the bills and then some. The kids aren't nearly as bad as I thought they'd be. I'll probably do the fulltime thing in the next year or so, but I'm in no major hurry.

Now, I'm supposed to be better at describing myself, but I'm not good at stuff like that. I'm a single Black male, but I'd like to think that you've deduced that by now. I've been a member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity since October '88.  I'm not any kinda' Denzel lookalike, but I'm confident that I'm not suffering from Quasimodo Simplex III either. For the basics, I'm 6 feet tall (1.83 m) and about 215 pounds (97 kg). What more can I say?  I could go into whether I'm a Democrat or not, but I'm really not a very political person... not at all.  I have been voting, in the last few elections, as an absentee ballot guy. Also, in the past couple of years, I've gotten kinda' active with my teacher's union, UTLA, United Teachers of Los Angeles. Via UTLA, a few years ago, I went on a free trip to Washington DC. Since then, I've gone to Orlando, Philly, Boise, Honolulu, and a few trips to Palms Springs. This year, it was back to DC.

As a hobby, I used to produce my own public access TV show, "eddie's RUFFhouse", at the cable studio. It was an interesting ordeal. Now I'm resurrecting the show as "EddieLee's". This time, I'm kinda' doing it myself own dang self. I've gotten a couple of nonlinear editing programs, so that I'd be able to do my video editing here at home.  Another hobby is screenwriting.  In fact, I'm a member of the Organization of Black Screenwriters.  No, I haven't had anything produced yet, but I'm working on it. I have gotten a few calls.

On my last home page, I promised lots of changes and stuff, but didn't do much of that at all. Well, with this Netscape Composer thing, it's a lot easier to create a website. After all, who wants to remember all that HTML stuff? Yeesh!  To each his own, but I prefer Mozilla Foxfire to MS Internet Explorer.

So, these are the websites that I frequent the most. You might find them interesting, too.
