Have questions about the program?
Edna C. Stevens School provides a preschool program based on a special education "reverse mainstream" model.  Typically developing 4 and 5 year olds are included in the program as "peer models" for children with developmental delays.  A morning class (Wednesday-Friday) is offered for younger children and an afternoon class (Monday-Friday) is offered to older children.

There are up to four places for peer models in each of the two classes.  Because we have many more children apply than we are able to include, the peer models are chosen through a lottery system in June of each school year for placement the following September.  There is a fee for peer models, and parents provide transportation to and from school as well as a snack.
