Eastwind Farm is located in the beautiful Downeast region of Maine.  We are a coastal town, and look out on Passamaquoddy Bay.  The summer vacation mecca; the island of Eastport (and my place of birth), is located approx 9 miles away. Our farm is located on U.S. Rte 1, Perry, Maine.  North of us is the equally beautiful province of New Brunswick , Canada, the gateway to P.E.I. , Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. We raise and breed registered American Shetland ponies of the Classic and Foundation type.  We purchased our first pony in 1996, and have become "addicted" to this wonderful breed. We have since increased our herd with the addition of mares, foals born on our farm, and our newest addition, our wonderful stallion, Grand Prix's Rocket Jockey. We are a small farm, having only a couple of foals every spring/summer.  We like to give them a lot of individual attention.  The '04 foals have arrived--check them out! We also sponsor a "barn buddy" program, where elementary aged children come to learn "hands on" about the ponies.  Our ponies visit local schools, we host field trips to the farm, and we have featured them (by popular demand!) in the Grand Independence 4th of July Parade.  They are always a hit! We are now booking for b'day parties, etc. through the fall season. See announcements for more info, or give us a call.
