Week 8. May 25 - 31, 2003 |
Hi, Last week of May completed, and I discovered the rose is in bloom. This led to a closer look at the flowers that are blooming in the front lawn. Alas, these are no more, thanks to Charlie and Don. Martin, they send you their greetings.
May God smile on you today,
Buttercups (the yellow ones), English small daisies and blue (what is it called?) - the flowers that greeted these friends of Derek and Martin. The five weeks of constant rain resulted in rapid growth.
Toadstool 'blossoms' under the hedge gave way to superior technology. Charlie wielding a whipper-snapper, easily gets the edges under control
The front garden, with its hedge, makes a nice backdrop. Pink Clover, large flowered daisies and buttercups dot the lawn.
This 'touch of blue' turned out to be a very patient butterfly, waiting for me to focus. The cuttings are dumped in the corner of the back yard
The lawns display the moss-covered stump, Max farewells our two new friends. The English Magpie is back again, she can reach the worms again. Vic has completed the fence, shown in the background. |
