Don and Linda Laing tried to fulfill the dream of a lifetime by sailing their catamaran from Aqaba in Jordan back to Australia. Follow their voyage on "Te Kore" as they sent bulletins, to the point when they had to give up in Mallorca.
Our friends Joan and Ted Johnson live in my hometown of Cleethorpes. They share our interest in hill-walking, and our love of the Lake District.Their Website has some great pictures. See also Tony Richards' Lakeland Cam Best of the Week Pictures. Graeme Dougal has more lakeland pictures, plus links to other sites.

We live in Kenley, in Surrey. I used to work at Woodside Nursery & Infants School in Croydon. Now I work at Cambridge International School in Dubai.

Sunday mornings and Monday evenings, we go running with the Hash House Harriers, the world wide club for runners with a drinking problem, or drinkers with a running problem. We run with the Old Coulsdon Hash House Harriers , around Surrey and Kent. Here is the OCH3 runlist.

On our Silver Wedding anniversary, I bought Ed a painting by Ben Maile.

Or else we go to the V&A , one of our favourite museums. We've been to the Museum of London a few times too.

We've always been interested in Folk Music. Visit the Folk Index if you enjoyed the tunes on these pages.

The Anorak is an online magazine of Tabloid, Broadsheet, Showbiz and Sports Reviews.
People magazine is the American gossip rag about the stars and the not so famous.

This is Ed's nightmare. (Edward keep out)

Since the age of about 15, I've been a secret Georgette Heyer fan. More recently, I've also become a closet Anne McCaffrey reader, but only the Pern stories...
Although not quite so much a fan (I don't usually re-read these) I've probably read all the Dick Francis books.
In the last year, I've joined the rest of the world in becoming an admirer of J.K.Rowling's Harry Potter books and film.

Two sites about Richard III and The Richard III Society. Mature reflection has dampened my teenage partisanship for this King, but we still like reading the apologias for him, whilst also enjoying the Shakespeare plays at the RSC in Stratford.

Ed said I should do something with all the data on the History of Wedding Dresses that I've collected over the years.

Would you like to adopt a cat?

He also said I should do something (he's great at ideas of things for me to do) about the list of all the different historic pub names we put together..
