With TOFOG, Dave is the lovely guitar-playing, tambourine-weilding Aussie, stage right. He's the one with the long, gorgeous locks and beautiful smile. He gets the crowd going, and always seems to be animated. The man has a gift for music and a zest for life. He plays the guitar, tambourine and a few added little percussion instruments now and then. I believe he also plays the drums, among other things. When with TOFOG he also lends his golden voice to backing vocals and sometimes has a hand in writing the songs.
Dave has also been in quite a few other bands though, most recently, Utopian Babies and previously, Wrecking Crew. He's opened for Julian Lennon, Fastball and Brian May and UB's videos have won a few awards! UB's song, One of These Days was also quite the hit over in Oz and it's definitely one of my favorites as well!
Right now Dave is currently recording another cd with his new band, Dave Wilkins Band. With his own band Dave is the mastermind behind pretty much all of it. He has been writing away and is perfecting all the new songs for his next cd, Whatever Gets You Through (note title change!), which is due out sometime in early 2003 probably.
