D's 1996 BMW 328is

My 1996 328is

I like the way the OBC, Radio, and Climate Controls tilt in towards the driver, it really furthurs the feeling of optimum control over the car. The steering is really tight and precise, it always goes directly where I want it to. That pedal on the right, when lightly touched will send you into the back of the seats until you quit touching it. Also the gauges are visible. The whole cockpit feels like it was designed just for me, and others feel it was designed just for them, it is a perfect area.

I like the classic boxy, yet sleek and modern European look about the car. It is really nice to look at.

More Thoughts

I really love this car, I cannot see myself owning another car, even the E46 3 series cannot compare to the perfection met in the E36 chassis line. It handles wonderfully, never swaying off course. It charger bumpy roads with the same grace it does on a level super highway. The seats are supportive, and are extremely comfortable on long hauls. If you drive for any length you know how important moving the seat position aids in keeping down fatigue, and these suckers move into any imaginable position for maximum comfort. My only complaint is about the A/C not keeping the car cool enough on really hot California days, but it is a black car, and I have owned 2 other black cars, and it is a normal thing, Black attracts heat. There are not any squeaks or rattles, and every part of the car is as solid as it was when it was new. Oh and BMWs are extremely safe and they weigh more than many SUVs on the road. So all in all I would be safe in saying even without side airbags this is one of the safest cars on the road.

Not a BMW, but my Dachshund, Bonnie in my old VW when I first bought her. I also have a Male named Scrappy.
