History of America
by John M Gregory
America.  The very name conjours visions of freedom, opportunity, and bad prime time television.  To recount the whole of American history is a futile gesture as this would require an attention span far exceeding my own.  Therefore this page will make aware many little known events in American history that have shaped our modern world, even if indirectly.

As we all know, America was first populated by the Native Americans.  Spreading across the continent they formed their own tribes, ways of life, and made their own contribution to our great history.  One little known and seldom appreciated tribe was the Eenoowonka.  Living in what is now lower Illinois the Eenoowonka were a revolutionary Native American tribe that lasted only 27 years.  The characteristic that set them apart from later tribes was their belief that the loss of any bodily fluids meant the loss of one's soul.  Consequently every last one of the Eenoowonka died of ruptured bladders.
