On the other hand. If you want your Hamster to breed, but you still need to buy the partner, here's how to put together two hamsters who dont know each other.
1.Clean the cage where you plan to put the two hamsters in.
2. Put the male in the cage first. Let it explore the cage and leave his scent everywhere for about 30mins to an hour. Now put the female in. Male hamsters are not as territorial as females. And the female will smell the scent and let the male be the boss. Keep on eye on them for a while. If they dont fight, then everything should be ok. Squeaking and other noises is ok as long as fighting doesnt follow.
If they do fight, then just seperate them, but keep putting her in a couple times a week to get them used to having to see each other. This should work. But if it doesnt then Buy a mesh cage divider. Set it in the middle of the cage. Make sure both sides have food and water. This way they have to get used to smelling each other and living so close together. Hope this works for ya. :)
