After the usual morning routine of wrestling in bed with Grandpa, the kids are ready to have breakfast.
As they gather around the kitchen island, Grandma and Grandpa assume the identities of Isabella, the maid, and Frederick, the butler. In our best Isabella and Fredrick voices, we ask the kids what they would like for breakfast.
After settling on the 'fare' we set out the tea pot of hot water, various tea bags (flavored and unflavored), sugar bowl, cream pitcher and the very important breakfast bell for calling Frederick and Isabella for assistance.
As we go about making the chosen
breakfast meal, the grandkids set out to make their cups of tea. (Of course, we monitor the pouring of the hot water.) The tea is quickly cooled as the kids pour in ample amounts of milk.
Frederick and Isabella answer the call of the breakfast bell as the kids request help and take delight in the funny voices of the maid and butler.
After breakfast, most of the tea is discarded. Both Frederick and Isabella know that the fun of the tea for the young ones is in the making, not necessarily the drinking!.
