Welcome to Caingallery

Apologies in advance...the images load slow with most connections...please be patient. :)

Okay...I've told you about this program for many months...and it is STILL the greatest thing since etch-a-sketch! Happy-happy-joy-joy!All the images here were made from scratch with Pixia...and nothing else!

Pixia has allowed thousands to experiment with light and color without the expense of over-priced art supplies. I downloaded this free program about four years ago, and all the updates since. Isao Maruoka; THANK YOU!

This little graphics editor is top-notch. Its features include: FREE! FREE STUFF! 100% FREE!

A little practice, a few edited brushtips, and BAM!

herecomestrouble by SGC Haven't posted new stuff in a while, butI am STILL at it... Enter Pixia...your desktop solution to red ochre under your fingernails! No more spilled paint! No more dried-out brushes! You can create at will...save or delete..alter at any point without risking damage to the work in progress.

For example:
Changes that you don't want can be undone at the click of a button!

Pixia is the answer to constantly finding dried out brushes and solidified paints and spilling linseed oil and watching in horror as the easel tips over...and the painting gets smeared all over the floor."OH! THE HUMANITY!!"

Coldmountain by SGC Landscapes are probably the easiest to do. I have done several of them, experimenting with Pixia as a substitute for oil and canvas.I was pleased to find that Pixia has flexibility and can be used much like conventional paints, once you learn the program's features.

Wave on you by SGC 1ilove requested something...like this?-

and responding to the question; ...

NO...these were never photos. I do not post rip-off's.

Alien BouquetThis is what happens when you get silly... It is just another experiment with light, or rather, how Pixia can color and blend much the same as conventional oils or acrylics.

I have had several requests for tutorials, but the best advice I can give is USE the thing...play with it...make two color fields and then use the tools to blend and mix.

You must play with mixing colors, blending lines, and above all else...EDIT THOSE BRUSH TIPS! Make them into what you'd get with a loaded brush when you touch it to canvas. Vertical dots, horizontals, etc. Thanks to those who've left notes in the guestbook...especially the complimentary ones!
