Engineering Mechanics |
Mechanics is a branch of physics that focuses on the state of rest or motion of bodies and the effects of forces on bodies. Mechanics can be subdivided into three branches: rigid-body mechanics, deformable-body mechanics, and fluid mechanics. I have chosen to speak only of rigid-body mechanics, because rigid-body mechanics provides the basis for studying deformable-body mechanics and fluid mechanics. |
Rigid-body mechanics is divided into two parts: statics and dynamics. I will focus on statics and dynamics mainly, but I will also introduce some general concepts in mechanics as a whole. On this web site you will find gathered information, links to other information web sites, and tutorials namely for statics and dynamics. |
