The BAYFIELD WINDS CONCERT BAND.
.."Canada's Millennial Band"... held its first rehearsal on January 9, 2000, at The Charthouse in Bayfield. The goal of the band is to bring together musicians from around our area who are committed to being part of a wind ensemble, responsible for presenting music at a high level of performance. BAYFIELD WINDS players travel from Port Elgin, Kincardine, Goderich, Walton, Stratford, Guelph, and Bayfield to rehearse every second Sunday at 1:30 at GDCI in Goderich. We presented our first concert on February 27th 2000, and in May of that year, we won the Keith Adair trophy as the top Community Band at the Stratford Kiwanis Music Festival. The Winds have since performed at concerts in Bayfield, Blyth,Goderich, Clinton, Stratford., and won an award at the Canadian National Exhibition Band Competition in Toronto
