Welcome to Miles N. Fowler's website, which is devoted to my ongoing literary projects and is a showcase for some of my essays and fiction. The essays tend to be about politics, history and religion while my fiction falls into the genre(s) of fantasy and science fiction. I am interested in time travel stories, in particular, because they combine my interest in both history and fantasy. A chief influence in this field is Robert Silverberg whose novel UP THE LINE is one of the best time travel stories ever written. (UP THE LINE was the bible followed by the makers of the classic time-travel film series BACK TO THE FUTURE.)

An updated Introduction to my essays on the gospels. I will weigh in on implications of recent arguments against authenticity of Mar Saba Letter and how it impacts my thesis about the indentification of the Bethany Youth. (Spoiler: I will argue that my thesis is and always has been explicitly severable from the authenticity of Morton Smith's "discovery." That is, I as much as said that in my original paper.)
