I also have a 71 nova that i'm doing some go fast parts & mods to it.The motor is a 454 .030 steel crank port and polished oval port heads.The intake is a performer rpm with a 750 cfm holley carb. Just got a new msd 6al ignition but haven't istalled it ye . Exhaust is hedman headers into 3" pipes to 3 chamber mufflers. Trans is a TH350 with shift kit soon to be placed with a much beefier TH400 trans to hold the torque of the big block. The rear is a 10 bolt w/3.73 gears also not strong enough to hold that torque of hte B.B. Maybe a 12 bolt or 9" ford rear will soon be in the car. Over the winter i'm hoping to put a 6 point cage and a driveshaft loop for a couple of short 1/4 mile rides. A 4" fiberglass cowl hood and some new paint will be enough for one year.
