Donald Tuper
Victoria (Vickie) was born 10/16/1912 in Selma Township Cottonwood County Minnesota. She lived with her parents and two brothers in Comfrey Minnesota until sometime between 1914 - 1919 when the family moved to Benidict North Dakota. She went to school there and helped on the family farm. In 1923 she moved to Warba Minnesota with her family and went to school in Warba. Growing up she helped on the farm until she went into the WACS during WWII , she was a truck driver in the transport battalion. She was awarded the American Service Medal, she also was awarded the WWII Victory Medal , as well as good conduct medal and many others. When she was discharged she was a tech 5. Vickie then married Donald Tuper Oct 8th, 1945 in Boston Springs New York. They moved to Warba soon after they were married. They had a son and named him Calvin, he was born 2/23/1951. Vickie remained on the farm in Warba until 1979 when she moved to International Falls Minnesota and stayed until she moved Aitikin in 1991. She lived with her son Cal and daughter inlaw until she passed away 10/6/2002.

The one thing that sticks out in my mind about Vickie was her homemade bread and Fried Chicken. She also loved flower gardens and she sure had a lot of beautiful ones. Lyle remembers that she loved taking care of the ducks , geese and chickens they had on the farm, and also talking and remembering about her childhood days and growing up on the farm. She also loved and cherished her three Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
