Owen Nolan
February 12, 1972
6'1" & 210lbs

Owen Nolan was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. His parents immigrated to Canada when he was a small child to escape the violence. Nolan was drafted by Quebec in 1990. The Nordiques moved to Colorado in the Summer of 1995 and later traded Owen to San Jose for Sandis Ozolinsh. As the Captain of the Sharks he has matured into one of leagues best two-way players under the guidance of Coach Darryl Sutter.
At the 97' All Star Game, held in San Jose, he had a hat trick in front of the home ciowd. The third goal was scored on a break away in which Owen called his shot by pointing at goalie Dominik Hasek just before firing a wicked slap shot over his shoulder.
After a couple off years Owen seems to be back on track. He lead the Sharks, along with Teemu Selanne, to a seven game Quarterfinal against the Avalanche. But most importantly he was one of seven Team Captains to be elected to play for Team Canada at the Salt Lake Games where he won his Gold Medal!!!
