Bad news ladies and gentlemen, FCC paid us a visit today.  We were given a wonderful cease and desist letter.  We are not going to challenge this.  So far no fines, prison time or confiscations were levied.  Duck and cover is over and out.  I really appreciate all the support and feedback we received during the brief amount of time we were on the air.  I encourage you to take the next step and start your own station to continue the tradition.  I will keep you all updated on the FCC's actions if any.  If you feel the need to vent your anger or express your opinions you can still email me.  I also encourage everyone to let the FCC know how you feel about them shutting down independent broadcasters.  There are ways to contact them at www.fcc.gov. We met the technical requirement of a professional station and did not interfere with anyone, so I feel this was unfair and unjust.

Here are some listener testimonials sent in to us, showing that we were a unique and valuable part of Seattle radio that deserves to be on the air.

I dunno how the hell you are doing this radio station, but 93.5 is THE BEST thing I have ever heard on the radio. I have quite literally glued the dial on my boom box at home to your frequency and listen to your station nonstop.... because there is nothing else like it. I have turned so many people on to it now and I hope it spreads like a goddamn fungus, invading subversively without warning. thanx once again...

oh yeah, and for what its worth, fuck the FCC!

Holy shit! I was trying to find NPR this morning but found you guys instead.. you should have seen me dance around the house faris bueler style (it was super gay.) then I went to your playlist and saw the huge ISP (insane clowns posse)/ eminem section and my heart just sank, damn I knew it was too good to be true. but thanks for giving us another option in non commercial radio besides the all emo all the time collage station. So far what I've heard has been great.

Thanks for the music!

I found the station on a fluke, and fucking love it. I'm telling all my friends, and they are in shock when they here the songs played. We cannot figure out how you guys are able to play unedited rap over the radio, don't you guys get a shitload of fines?

Duck and Cover Deities,

Your station ROCKS! Thank you for the oasis in the drudgery we call "commuting" in Seattle. I had all but given up on local radio ... due to the fact that I HATE the commercials they cram down our throats. That 104.Monkey station can be good for stints of no commercials ... but MAN can some songs get overplayed! But then a buddy called last week and said, "DUDE! Turn your radio to 95.3 ... NOW!!" And the rest my friends, is History! ;-)

Hey, this shit is tight! My new favorite radio station... Fuck KUBE, never going back. So uh, how the hell do you get away with the language and having no commercials? What about the FCC? I've worked at a few radio stations, and never heard of away of getting around it. Let me know...

Peace,
Ace

Your station is what I've been wait for; Commercial free, UNCENSORED, good music. I listen to your station (or try to) all the time now. The reception kinda sucks in areas but what the fuck, it's still better then that shit they play on KUBE or any other mainstream station in Seattle.

Keep up the dope work! I hope you can get your signal stronger in the future.

I've been enjoying the tunes, just curious how the hell are you getting away broadcasting? I'm not against hard-core hip hop & the such, but I'm perplexed as to how it's still coming over air waves. Anyway fuck the man or the FCC, keep the jams pumping, and if you have any Fishbone or Rage against the machine, mix it into your play list.

My name is Annie, I am 17 years old and from Seattle. I am so fed up with the crappy radio stations that are on the dial here in Seattle, and I recently came across 95.3 on the radio and it was like an answer from god. Thank you, you guys play some tight beats, and thats really what people like me in this city need. I wish you all the best of luck!

Thank you!
Annie
