The Queen Bee's visit
      with Queen 'Mum Sue Ellen
On April 1, 2002, my husband Bill and I vacationed in southern California.  While I was there, I had the opportunity to stop in at "The Palace" in Fullerton, California to see our Queen Mother, Sue Ellen Cooper.  What I thought would be a 10 minute stop turned into an hour and a half visit with Sue Ellen.

What a charming Queen Mother we have representing us.  Bill and I got the grand tour of the palace.....including the stock and shippping room of all the items the Queen Mother sells on the Red Hat Society web site.  I added photos to the "grand wall of photos".  In no time at all, the walls in the reception room will be full.  Sue Ellen told me about the new red velvet sofa she was expecting so her guests could have a place to sit.  She has since gotten it and she told me it is just beautiful.  I met her husband, daughter, and staff and what a bunch of wonderful people they are  We talked about how all of this started, the ups and downs she has experienced, and where it is all going.

It was such a joy to talk with her.  She is just flabergasted as to what has happened with her simple gester of giving a red hat and a poem to a dear friend of hers five years ago.  She is happy knowing that The Red Hat Society has brought so much happiness to so many ladies so quickly.
