January 2004               Membership Meeting
home
What a day we all had! It was rainy and cold outside, but inside we were warm and having a gay ole'time! It was such a pleasure for me to host this luncheon in my home  and have you all there. There were 20 of us who shared the afternoon with friendship, laughs, and lots and lots of delicious food. You gals outdid yourselves. I am so glad we have the recipes to share with one another......I know there are a few that I'm going to try.

We had several things to talk about at our meeting which follows:

1. We decided to keep our dues at $12.00 a year.

2. We decided to continue to keep taking photos at the luncheons and to continue the scrapbook. We voted to spend $70.00 from our funds for a new scrapbook and extra pages. It was also decided to buy disposable cameras so that photos can be taken at the luncheons and the person scrapbookings will have the film developed and the pictures put into the book. All disposable cameras and film processing will be paid for by the chapter.

3. We decided to spend money to buy a "Red Hat" scrapbooking kit which includes titiles, borders, phrases, and red hat designs to help design pages in our scrapbook.

4. We voted to renew our chapter with the Red Hat Society @ $35.00 a year. Our membership number is # 3936.

5. We decided to increase our membership capacity from 25 to 30 members. We will see how this goes for 2004 and decide again in 2005 if we want to stay at 30 members or drop back down to the 25.

6. We talked about the Purple Perks Membership Card available through the Red Hat Society. You will need to have our club membership number (# 3936) to purchase a Purple Perks card.

Again, My thanks to all of you who attended the luncheon, all of your input in regards to making our chapter the best it can be, and for all the delicious food that you brought.
