DUBLIN 2000

Photographs from my mate Piyush's stag party in Dublin, from 6th to 8th October 2000. Even though he'd already been married for a month...

We flew with Ryanair from Stansted (a bargain at £30 return, even if half of the party nearly missed the flight). We stayed at the Four Courts Youth Hostel on Merchant's Quay, right on the River Liffey, 5 minutes stagger from Temple Bar. They were kind enough to give us our own private dorm, and even allowed us to sign a disclaimer saying that we wouldn't trash the place. Unfortunately, the idea of staying in the same room as 7 Guinness-swilling, kebab-guzzling drunkards is not quite as attractive as it first appears, especially to those with a sense of smell. Sadly, there is no photograph of the highlight of the holiday, namely a surprise and prolonged appearance by Mr Hankey's fat, older brother.
We are happy to recommend the following establishments: the Oliver St John Gogarty, Norseman, and Turk's Head pubs in Temple Bar, as well as a few other pubs and kebab shops whose names I cannot remember.
