My name is |
In the picture on the left, I am 8 weeks old, and it is the day I was adopted.
In the picture on the right I am approximately 11 weeks old. if you look at my front leg you can see where the vet shaved me to put the intravenous tubes into me. You can also see how skinny I am since being being sick with Parvo. This picture was taken a week after I was released from the hospital.
I was adopted on a PetSmart adoption day and was in an ex-pen with 8 other puppies. I bet I caught the parvo from one of them or they caught it from me. Either way, they probably all had Parvo. This makes me very sad. I wonder about those puppies that I played with that day - are they still alive? Were they lucky enough to have found someone to love them and spend the money to save their lives, like my family did?
I also am sad that anybody who picked me up that day brought the parvo germs home and may have infected their own dogs.
Parvo is very contagious and very painful. It ate away the lining of my intestines and made me cry all day long.
Please learn about Parvo. Don't spread it and make sure to keep your dogs shots up to date.
