Interview for DEATHTHRASHER MAGAZINE by ARMANDO MUTILATOR : 

DT: Hello SASKIA, how are you?. 
Saskia : I’m fine thanks! The sun is shing here so me=happy;)

DT: When and why the band was formed?. 
Saskia : The band is formed in the late summer of 2000; I liked singing and playing music a lot and I was looking for some guys to play some music with. At that time, I listened to bands like THE GATHERING and AFTER FOREVER; they were pretty popular in the music scene I listened to, so I wanted to play that kind of music also! 

DT: How do you know MAURO PI?. 
Saskia : I had music lessons with him at my school for 2 years. When we first met, we talked about playing in a band, and it turned out to be that he also wanted to start a band where he could play the drums J Lucky for us, because we’re still in the same band, still having fun!

DT: Your influences?. 
Saskia : Below are the Metal orientated bands I usually listen to, but I also like lot’s of other styles of music, like NORAH JONES, TORI AMOS, PORTISHEAD, DEPECHE MODE and lot’s of ‘sunshine’ bands like BEEF, AMPARANOIA and MANU CHAO!

DT: Are you satisfied with your old Demo - EP 2001, "Little Moves"?. 
Saskia : NOOO! Don’t want to talk about it, been there, done that! It’s just cute to hear back what we did 4 years ago and compare it to what we play now;)

DT: You're fave food?. 
Saskia : Hmm, good question;) I like all kinds of food, especially vegetables. I’m a vegetarian, so I don’t eat meat/fish/milkproducts! Sometimes it’s a bit hard when you go and eat somewhere else, but usually when I cook myself (and I love doing that) I prepare something with pasta, bread and most of the time a nice salad.
What I really like (don’t know what I like most, I like variety!) is pasta with spinach, tofu, sun dried tomatoes and a bit of cashew nuts;)

DT: Do you prefer THE GATHERING or LACUNA COIL?. 
Saskia : I definitely prefer THE GATHERING! I like LACUNA COIL for a few songs o hear, but they all seem so much like each other…
THE GATHERING developed their music style with each new CD they brought out, so that band is really one of my favourites. As I said before, I like variety;) Not only in food, also in music hehehe.

DT: What can you talk me about your "Circle Of Power" Demo - Ep 2002?. 
Saskia : We recorded it for the first time in the Pit studio. It was a really nice experience working together with the band on a CD. HANS REINDERS guided us well through this time. We recorded it in 2 weekends if I remember correct. What can I say: we had lot’s of fun and we were very proud of it at that time. When I listen to it now, I would do a whole lot of things different, but you always learn about it.
Actually, we’re going to record to of the songs on COP again in July. So then you can hear the newest versions!

DT: Do you like DESENSITISED :)?. 
Saskia : Well, it’s not really my kind of music, but I think they’re pretty original in the Death / Grind Metal scene. You can still hear the structure of their songs when they play and that’s one thing that I can’t find in other bands from that genre…

DT: What do you know about South American Metal Scene?. 
Saskia : Erhhh, not much!! Next question?;)

DT: SASKIA, please tell me about your last Demo - EP 2003 "Inside". 
Saskia : We also recorded it in the pitstudio, with the same bandmebers as we are with now J We worked really hard on it and got a lot of gigs and nice reviews with this MCD, so it did it’s job quite well;)

DT: Are you into Design?... you designed the Artwork of your last Demo - EP. 
Saskia : Yep, I study on a academy of arts, I’m in my 3rd year now, so still one more left to go. When I’m finished I can teach art (ckv) at schools. I learn there about some design programs, and I study photography, so I made the cover for inside. Really nice thing to do!!

DT: Do you prefer, THE SIMPSON's FAMILY, BEAVIES & BUTTHEAD or SOUTHPARK?. 
Saskia : Haha I like all 3 of them, but when I had to choose I would say BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD! It’s really my kind of humor, hehehehe:P

DT: What do you think about the Norwegian Black Metal Scene?. 
Saskia : I’m really not into this kind of metal! Sorry…

DT: What do you know about Peru?. 
Saskia : I don’t understand this question, can you send it to me again with an explanation?

DT: What do you know about Peru?, about the peruvian people, cities, and about the Peruvian Underground Metal Scene.
Saskia: I'm so sorry but I can't tell you anything about this! Maybe you should leave this question out of the interview...only thing i know about Peru is that the country looks beautiful on my television screen!

DT: Do you prefer cannabis or cocaine?.
Saskia: Cannabis;)

DT: Your fave movies?... do you like STAR WARS?, are you into gore, snuff or horror movies?.
Saskia: My all time favourite movie is 'Le fabuleux destin d'amelie poulain' A realy nice movie:)
Stars wars hmmm; I've seen the movies, but it's not the kind of movie i like usual.
I've seen lot's of horror movies, to mention some: 'childs play' and 'the shining', but i like psychological thrillers best, like 'silence of the lambs':)

DT: What do you think about GEORGE W. BUSH and OSAMA BIN LADEN?
Saskia: Actually, I wrote a song inspired by the US, more specific about BUSH.
It's called 'you're setting fire' and it's about all the stuff that's been going on around the 11th of September. BUSH could easily get us into world war numero III with all his idiot ways of dealing with things, actually I think he's extremely dangerous. Especially when I saw MICHAEL MOORE's movie 'Bowling for Columbine', I realized how sick this world can be.
So that's a bit what this song is about. In one part it says:
'You can't wipe of the blame, you're like an evil creature, you'll burn in hell like a flame, you're setting fire!'

DT: Do you prefer Macintosh or PC?
Saskia: PC:)

DT: Tell me about your next concert.
Saskia: Next concert will be in Brussels in a small venue. It's going to be the last gig for the upcoming month, because we ave to rehearse for recording the new album in july! But the Belgian public is always great, so I think we're going to have a nice Metal party over there! Brussels here we come!

DT: Your future plans?. 
Saskia : Hmm, getting a famous morning rockstar and having as much as fun with the guys as I have now LOL! They really are nice bandmembersJ
O but serious? We’re planning to record a full length album in July, so all the activities of MORNING are heading to this CD. I’m really looking forward to it.

DT: Your last comment for DEATHTHRASHER's readers?. 
Saskia : Well, visit our website sometimes, www.morning.nl, and keep the Metal alive: sex, drugs and rock n roll;)
