David lives
and teaches in Durham, North Carolina. If you include the whole
Research Triangle area, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, you can
dance every day of the week. David teaches some of his group classes
as Ninth Street
Dance. He is a National Dance Council of
America (NDCA) certified professional dance instructor.
If you want
to compete in ballroom, you need to be a registered competitor
with the United States
Amateur Ballroom Dance Association (USABDA).
The local
USABDA chapter has a dance the 3d Saturday of every month.
Raleigh is
home of the Carolina Classic Competition. For information, contact

There is a
huge swing dance community in the area. The Triangle Swing Dance

David went to the Yankee
Classic in Boston with 2 students in October 2001. He took four students in August 2002 and had a
wonderful time at the marvelous new venue back in the city. He was thrilled to win the award for Top Small Studio.
Next year the event will return to its original time in June.
