My Education

Post Graduate in Botany with specialization in Research Methodology & Instrumentation

From Gujarat University, Ahmedabad With First Class (62%)

My Qualifications

Ph.D. (Botany: Seed Physiology) with Gujarat University: Synopsis Submitted in June, 2000.

Research Subject: Storage Potential and Vigour Studies on Onion, Carrot and Lettuce Seeds

Research work: Seed storage studies on Onion (Allium cepa L.), Carrot (Daucas carota L.) and Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) are carried out. Different packaging materials and temperatures are being examined. Seed deterioration studies are being done by means of standard germination tests and seed leachate studies. Plant growth regulators (PGRs) are being used for the improvement in performance of stored/aged seeds of the above vegetable crops. Studies on In vitro techniques are also under progress.
