ENTRY DRAFT 2004-Dallas Stars picks- Info on players-

Trevor Ludwig,
son of former Stars defenseman Craig Ludwig, was chosen
by Dallas in the sixth round (183rd overall). The 18 year-old
Ludwig played in 54 games with the Texas Tornado last season,
scoring five goals and 25 assists for 30 points. He has
played for the Tornado in each of the last two seasons.

The Stars again went with size on defense in round eight,
taking Lukas Vomela
from the Czech Republic. Vomela is 6-3 and 189 pounds.
The seventh round netted the Stars
center Sergei Kukushin
with the 218th overall pick. Kukushin measures in at 6-2,
187 pounds, playing for Minsk Jr. in Belarus last season.

Dallas wrapped up the draft by selecting Matt
McKnight in the ninth round (280th overall),
a center from the Alberta Junior Hockey League who scored
56 points in 42 games last season (20-36-56).

Prior to drafting Ludwig, Dallas was on the clock early
on Sunday, as the team had the sixth pick in the fourth
round (104th overall). The Stars used that pick to select
Fredrik Naslund
from Sweden, a big winger with good overall skill.
