Stars Fall to the Avs,4-2
The Dallas Stars got a chance to see how they stacked up against one of the top teams in league. They didn't stack up all that well. Colorado scored three power play goals in the second period to build a 4-0 lead and then held on to earn a 4-2 win over Dallas at the American Airlines Center Saturday.

The loss dropped the Stars back to the .500 mark for the season at 18-18-8-0 on the season. Scott Young and Jason Arnott scored for the Stars, who have just one win in their last seven games (1-2-4-0).

"If you go out there and stand around in the third period they're going to embarrass you," Stars head coach Dave Tippett said. "Down 4-0 you better play hard. If you don't then you're in trouble."

Stars goaltender Marty Turco made a pass to defenseman Sergei Zubov, who then passed it ahead to Scott Young. From , Young skated through several Avs players, skated in and ripped a shot low that got past Avalanche goaltender David Aebischer to bring some life back into the Stars' home building. That was the most excited part of the game for the fans and the Stars.< >
