Okay...so I just finished watching back to back first episodes of One Tree Hill and The O.C.. I have been waiting for these two episodes since the weekend, when I first saw the trailers for both shows. First thing I though of, these guys are sooo slashable!

Okay, spoilers for those who have no idea what those two shows are.

I'm thinking I like One Tree Hill better though. What I like about this is the tension between Nathan and Lucas. Nathan's the antagonist and Lucas is the protagonist. Lucas is the rebel who's intelligent, good at basketball, and is still a good son and a great person. Nathan's the rich kid who has everything and is such a big jerk! I obviously like Lucas better. What makes it interesting (i.e. soap operatic) is the fact that Nathan and Lucas have the same dad. And yet, they've got extremely different environments. Their worlds collide when Lucas plays for Nathan's basketball team. Yeah, yeah...so cliched! But, hey, tension between them is high! Forget about the bimbos of the show, focus on the two. Lucas, by the way, is absolutely gorgeous! Yeah, yeah, incest. But, there are ways around that. And at the same time, this does give their relationship a lot more tension. I'm not fond of incest stories, even in yaoi. Until, I read the scanlations of Tsuki Yadoru by Nakama. I haven't gone out to read a lot of incest stories. It does still squick me out. But if it's well-written, like Tsuki Yadoru, it does offer you a different point of view. Enables you to shift your paradigm of thinking, and this is part of what I love about yaoi and slash. In any case, I see myself writing OTH slash in the future. I've actually got a plot all worked out. Just wanna watch more episodes!

The O.C. is another teen soap opera and it's a lot more cliched than OTH. But, gotta admit, at least the two main characters aren't blood relatives. Although, they become sorta like brothers, I think. From a slash perspective, their situation is easier to write than the situation in OTH.

Anyway, I'll be watching these two shows regularly. Hopefully, they'll be the impetus I need to actually start typing down my stories instead of just thinking about writing.

Yikes! It's been so long since I updated my website. Work's been keeping me busy and tired. Because of that, I haven't had much energy in updating this site. But, I did post two fics on ff.net and mediaminer.org. One's a Mirage of Blaze fic (not many of those) and a Hikaru no Go one. The HnG fic is unfinished though. One of these days...one of these days...

I've been watching Naruto for the past few days. I really really like it! Of course, being the yaoi-minded person that I am, I thought that Sasuke and Naruto's kiss was sooo cute! Will hopefully be putting up wallpapers with some Naruto screen caps soon.

It's my birthday today! I am now officially 24...I am sooo old...^_^! Had dinner with family and friends. Talked with old friends about what's up with them...made plans to meet sometime soon. It's very different when you're working. We used to see each other a lot, but now...not that often.

Anyway, in other news, I've got a new fanfic! WOHOO! But, it's not on the website yet. I posted it to fanfiction.net though, and a couple of other sites. I do have the fanart on this site, but go read the story first. It's a Hikaru no Go yaoi fic featuring Kaga and Tsutsui. I do love Akira/Hikaru, but, right now, I'm focusing on this particular pairing. Part of this is because, well, Kaga is absolutely an amazing guy *^_^*! And, well, when I was doing the fanart on Tsutsui, I realized that he looks like me...kinda *^_^*, or, at least, my fanart of Tsutsui looks a lot like me...talk about coincidences!

Woke up at an ungodly hour this morning (7 am), considering I had only been asleep for about 4 hours. I couldn't go back to sleep and decided to do a little surfing, with a computer I mean.

It was a little bit sad. I decided to check out some old sites I used to frequent, oh, around 4 years ago. They were all dead! They did bring back memories though.

Made me think about how I got into yaoi and slash in the first place. I mean, I wasn't always into yaoi. Uh huh. I used to be a non-yaoi person. I totally hated the idea of yaoi. Well, from hate to love. Now, I love yaoi!

Anyway, I got sad thinking about how some of the old sites I liked are dead, so I just trawled through cliques and fanlistings instead. I'm adding a few now.
I'm supposed to be working on a few fics that I really should finish. I've got at least 5 PoT fics and 3 CCD fics still as WIPs. Hopefully I can finish them soon. I will also be adding a couple of new wallpapers soon...I hope.

I scanned some more images from Youka Nitta's artbook Charisma and I'll be adding more wallpapers based on her artwork. I absolutely love her stuff. Just to show how much I love Youka Nitta (who, incidentally, drew the pic I used for my banner), check out my quiz results:

On to other stuff. I've uploaded my one and only fanfic also. It's in the fics section. It's a Prince of Tennis fanfic featuring Tezuka/Fuji. I am currently working on a sequel to that fic. I am also working on an Oishi/Eiji fic. At the same time, I'm working on a Clamp Campus Detectives fic. Whew...when am I gonna find time to do all these?
Anyway, drop me a line if you like wallpaper ;)...I will definitely make more!

Feeling Nostalgic

I've got so much stuff on my hard drive and I just felt like going thru them and seeing what I could delete. I came across a folder of fanfics that I saved, oh, around 4 years ago. The folder contains my Buffy/Angel fics. BA was my first fandom. And my first love. This was the reason I got into fanfics so much. But, soon after I got into the whole Buffy/Angel fanfic thing, Buffy and Angel separated, each going their own way. I couldn't accept the split and vowed never to watch Buffy or the Angel series ever again. I haven't watched either series as I've remained thru to the Buffy/Angel pairing. That was really the greatest love of all, the vampire hunter and the dreaded vampire, falling in love with each other. Looked at some old BA sites, and heck, they still exist. Maybe one day, when I don't feel all angsty about the end of the greatest love affair I have ever watched (which really doesn't say all that much), I just might go back and read all the BA fics I've saved. But for now, I'm just going to close that folder, and go read some slash fic instead...

Insomnia sucks

I'm going to be revamping my blog a little at a time, starting today :), since I can't seem to get any sleep! Argh! Insomnia sucks...

Spriggan...Yaoi goodness!

I just watched the DVD version of Spriggan, oh, around 2 hours ago. WOOOHOOO! For sheer violence and gore, this anime rocks! But, if you're looking for plot development and character development, look somewhere else. But then again, what can you do with a 90 minute movie based on a 11-volume manga? Though the movie only focused on arc 2 of the manga, a lot of stuff was lost, most notably, character development. Makes me want to get all 11 volumes of the manga and read them. Ok ok, what makes Spriggan chock-full of yaoi goodness though? Well, the main character and his partner (?) are just, well, just a little too well-bonded, if yah know what I mean. I was watching the anime with my brother and my male cousin. And during scenes where one guy would save another (and they kept needing to save each other...the scrapes they got into) I was squirming in my seat with all the slashy subtext floating around. Of course, my cousin and my bro never noticed anything . But, once I got back home, I just had to see if there were any Spriggan yaoi fics...And lo and behold...yup, I found several . I'm going to be spending the next few hours reading thru some fics :D!
The long and short of it...would I recommend Spriggan? If you're a fan of hard-core violence, YUP!!! If you prefer plot development over action, go watch something else. If you're looking for another yaoi/slash fandom, you've come to the right place :).
Go on, shoo...go find Spriggan and watch!
