Welcome! This is my sorta new and revamped site for my Project Camry. Yep...still at the whole little Camry thing. Years later, still the same old question:
"Why a Camry?"
Again...I wanted a different vehicle than everybody else had. "Everybody" (relative term) had Civics...Integras...Eclipses...but I didn't see any modded Camrys (aside from having rims..).
I never really understood why that was until I got my Camry and started asking around for parts...well...cuz they didn't make parts for it! Everywhere I went...
"The Camry is a FAMILY car. Why don't you get a Civic or something?"
A Civic!?!? Since when was a CIVIC considered a SPORTS car!?!? WTF!?!?
Okay...in all fairness, the aftermarket has been "kinder" (also relative) to the Camry. There has been a far greater amount of support now than when I started. "Back in the day," (Geezus) you can count the number of body kit makers on one hand. Now there are 2 hands worth ;) Performance parts are now available...intakes, headers, exhausts...Suspension parts are also fairly numerious, especially in comparison.
