I may never see tomorrow, there is no guarantee.
And things that happened Yesterday, belong to history.
I cannot predict the future, I can not change the past.
I have just the present moments, I must treat them as my last.
I must use this moment wisely, For it will soon pass away.
and be lost to me forever, As part of Yesterday.
I must exercise compassion, Help the fallen to their feet.
Be a friend unto the friendless, Make an empty life complete.
The unkind things I do Today, May never be undone.
And friendships that I fail to win, May never more be won.
I may not have another chance, On bended knee I pray
And Thank God with humble heart, For giving me this day.
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental,
To reach out for another is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk rejection,
To place your dreams before the crowed is to risk ridicule,
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because
the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing,
has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow
but he can not learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave.
He has forfeited his freedom.
Only a person who takes risks is free.
I have learnt
No matter how much I care,
Some people just don't care back.
That it's not what you have in your life,
but who you have in your life that counts.
That it's taking me a long time,
to become the person I want to be.
That heros are the people, who do what has to be done,
when it needs to be done, reguardless of consequences.
That no matter how good a friend is
they're going to hurt you every once in awhile
and you must forgive them for that.
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down
will be the ones to help you get back up.
That sometimes when I'm angry, I have the right to be angry
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
That no matter the consequences
those who are honest with themselves get farther in life.
That you should always look forward to the future
And learn from the past.
That there are many ways of falling, and staying in love
And there are many kinds of love.
I've learnt
That I'm not so bad at all.
