| 350 chevy .030 over 400 chevy crank &rods 350 flat top pistons yeilding 9.6 to 1 comp xtreme 4x4 270 882 cast heads 2.02/1.60 edelbrock performer rpm edelbrock 750 cfm carb. |
| running 8.50's in the 1/8 (class index) with 3.73 gears in aprox. a 3,500 pound car is a testiment to the torque that a 383 makes.With the 26.5x11/15 Hoosier x-30's cheater slicks making it hook is allmost as much a ritual as as skill. |
| she doesn't look to bad now ,for a car that was rescued from the junk yard for $350 dollars. It is amazing that it looks this good i did all the paint and body myself .This was the first and only car i've painted to date. She is still very low buck by most standerds. i have aprox. $150 in the paint & body . |
| I would have about $2,500 total , If i had bought all of the parts new .I probably have half that in it since most of the parts were used. It is a street car drivin 100 miles round trip to the track. |
