Secret Somewhere

There is somewhere, somewhere hidden, I keep my beating heart, There is somewhere, somewhere secret, I hold my hopes and dreams, There is somewhere, somewhere hiding, A future calling me, There is someone, someone smiling, Who holds his hand out to me, There is someone, someone watching, Always there to catch me.

When I think of the tragedy and beauty of the romance of Xellos Metallium and Filia Ul Copt, I am reminded of a tale I read as a child. It was the story of the origins of the Incas where the sun and moon had fallen in love. When expressing their love, the people of earth thought they were trying to kill eachother. The lovers could only meet on certain occassions, which resulted in solar eclipses. They had twins, a boy and girl whom they sent to earth. The moon and sun still stand proud and true, together in love, even though they are so distant and different. Yes, when I think of a Mazoku and Golden Dragon together, this tale comes to mind.

Can a devil feel love? No. Can a god feel hate. No. Are you sure. I don't...know. Do you feel love? Yes. Do you feel hate? Yes. Do you think for yourself? Yes. Do devils and gods think for themselves. Yes. This is a shrine dedicated to Xellos and Filia, two of the main cast of Slayers TRY, my favorite series of the three Slayers series. Many regard NEXT as the best, but I disagree. TRY wove a tale of good and evil...vs...good and evil. In the end it proved that the Gods and Demons had little difference...which comes back to Filia, a shrine maiden for the Fire Dragon King, and Xellos, general and priest to High Beast Xellas Metallium - two people connected through fate who taunted the others's differences, yet binded their powers to save their world. They so often display such passion and emotion, it is impossible to ignore them. And so, we come to this shrine, which I am using to express my love and imagination for the two, as much as I encourage others to. Xellos and Filia lovers must bind together in an otaku world that is so negative about their traditonal couple statis.
