Wasn't That a Partay!
The North American Club Crew Championship took place last weekend in Welland and was arguably the best sport regatta ever organized in Canada. The only thing that might have made the event better would have been even more teams competing for bragging rights. Bragging rights for second best, that is, as the awesome Mississauga Canoe Club easily took first place in every mixed category. With regards to our hotly debated and almost wholly fictional "Power Rankings", we consider both head-to-head results and relative race times - favouring the former over the latter whenever possible. We're trying to predict the results of head-to-head races between our ranked teams on any given day. This site is dedicated to fairly ranking the top dragon boat teams in Ontario and western Quebec.
The site consists of several different ranking lists. Most, if not all, of these lists have no basis in reality, honest statistics, or anything approximating scientific mathematical analysis. The "Power Ranking" list is simply an amalgamation of the opinions of a small group of dragon boat fans and should not be taken as verifiable fact, estimation of any particular team's literal prowess, future results, sexual history, or food preferences. Please remember that this website is independent of all other dragon boat websites, particularly those that shield their editors from pubic (sic) scrutiny and accountability for their patently self-serving opinions. The names of teams, organizations, and individuals are used here solely for amusement purposes and such use is not intended to imply any endorsement from those entities. Of course, if you do choose to endorse us, we will probably rank your team higher cuz, you know, we'd be tight and all. |
