On one hand it is a really cute fashion scene based around Victorian dress somewhat popular in Japan. On the other it has darker, more sexual connotations. This quick text will focus on the second hand. Traditionally lolita is defined as: 1. A young girl who is sexually alluring. 2. An attractive or precocious young girl. First off it is my belief that lolita is broader than that. Any young human, male or female, that provokes sexual excitement is a lolita. The definition is the same, just broader. Personally I love me, as androgynous as I am. I couldn't imagine a day go by when I didn't love myself. And if others feel the same way about me, even if it is on a completely ascetic level, then why shouldn't they? We can both acknowledge this mutual attraction and move on. I won't lie, I'm vain. But if vanity is the price to pay to feel good, than I'm fully willing to pay. And if you don't share my views than you can go lick a stump. Lolita won't change, you can't make it go away. When you feel attraction or lust for something deemed taboo, you'll automatically repress yourself. Don't. You might actually enjoy it. Just keep it consensual. Deviancy is fun, and pleasure, as well as happiness, shouldn't be looked down upon. Would you hate someone for eating and enjoying chocolate? No. So don't hate the person expressing themselves and enjoying it. Irregardless of their choice of attraction you shouldn't dislike someone. Simple as that.
