PAST HEAVENS

Ever since you left, its still the same, but you're with him. I wish we could go back to when we couldn't tell where I ended and you began. When we were always entwined, all we needed were two beds and each other's arms, when I was the one you called when you just needed to talk, to calm down or some cheering up. I can still feel the magic all around. Now all that is, is a cold breeze and slow motion daylight, a lone pair of watchful eyes to oversee the autumn leaves but not the living. You can feel my presence, all around, a tortured soul, a gap, a wound not healing. You have no regrets or promises, the past is gone, and now I will be free. My death will set me free.
