This tiny baby bird hatched on April 10th.  He was about the size of  my thumb and was covered by a thin layer of down feathers.  The other egg never did hatch- we're not sure why.

The parents removed the empty eggshell from the nest.

Mourning dove parents are very nurturing with their young.
