~Hello and Welcome!~

My family backround is: German/Norwegian/& Icelandic.
...SurNames Here...

Originally from Chicago, I'm the first of four daughters who have all been dramatic & creatively inclined. Sometimes, NOT the best experience for my parents! (hehe...) I started out as a blonde, very skinny, but geeky kid. I was born in Chicago, and lived with Dad, Mom & Grandma for approximately 5 yrs. Then we moved "Easy St", ... but it wasn't easy!~ Before graduating High School, we moved to 'The Great Southwest' There, I completed HS and & continued into College.

I took my first Drama Class in my Sophmore year of HS ... My first participation in a theater production was as stagecraft and wardrobe for "Our Town"... continued with the theatre & stage thing almost soon after that along involvement with the GAA - (Girls Athletic Association)- for a (very) short time, The Archery Club, Gymnastics, and various small literary factions. I've even been published & continue to write -- mostly historical shorts, fictions & freelance journalistic stuff. Currently: Acting, of course; but I've also directed & choreographed, taught classes, and accepted public speaking engagements.

I've spent 5 years in college & studied Archeology, Anthropology, Linguistics and Journalism. I've a Major in Liberal Arts, and would like to return to study Theater & Drama. I've worked a full variety of jobs; Some I enjoyed more than others. A favorite experience was working with Dr. Jane Goodall at
the Jane Goodall Institute... The most intense positions I've ever accepted was as Intake Specialist and Crisis Interventionist at some DV Women's Shelters..

I began teaching in 1995, and continued for about 3 years. Within that time, I became the cirriculum supervisor and began public speaking. Additionally and for a brief time, I became involved in a ground breaking theater based DV Prevention program for Junior High & High School students.

Some best advice given:
"If you want to be an actor, get out there, LIVE your LIFE and cultivate that awareness deeply."

An important quote for any new actor: ...
You know the saying ... "Don't quit your day job..." ???

My Mom's an AWESOME artist & Dad"s an AWESOME singer. He's a Professional and performed many years with The Chicago Lyric Opera. Some of the ... "coolest" Opera productions Dad has performed in are:: The Flying Dutchman, La Traviata , and Madame ButterFly! He's also performed in one of my favorite musicals, Brigadoon... UMM -- Yes, I'm proud of my Dad ;-) While Chicago, we'd have these excellent family weekends -- Because of our excursions to The Art Institute, The Museum of Science & Industry, and of course, go see Dad perform! There was substantial consideration for a while that we move to New York. The Metropolitan Opera wanted Dad to sing with them ... (Wow - That would've been GREAT!): Dad decided to go West instead...

Well, there you go - that's a bit of who I am ... Dramatic, Determined & Talented...
To top it off, maybe a sense of humor ~ Is that a winning combination, Or what!???
