The
New Media Center Chicago is envisioned to become a new epicenter of
research, knowledge, collection and display of technology and creativity
related to digital media, in the broadest sense possible. Like the well
known Art Institute and Chicago Cultural Center, the NMC, will become
another highly specified knot in the network, striving to contribute
in many different ways, on many different scales; influencing both cultural
and social environment of downtown Chicago, as well as adding to knowledge
and understanding on a global scale.
