Robbery Homicide Division Unofficial Website News
december 15, 2002

the december 20/27 issue of entertainment weekly named robbery homicide division the 3rd best show of the year out of 10 others. read about it here.

now, if only this accolade had come before the cancellation ... the new issues is at newsstands now.

it is unclear whether or not cbs will air the remaining episodes. it may be speculation to think so, but after reading a number of articles and also news on tvtome ... i don't know, i'm a little confused. on the
cbs website, which i believe was updated after the announcement of the cancellation, it reads: "Check back later for information on the next episode of ROBBERY HOMICIDE DIVISION." the next unaired episode was replaced this friday by a rerun of csi: miami. ("queens supreme" will be the midseason replacement for rhd's timeslot.) The usa network website also says the show has been pre-empted on cbs. is that what networks say when they don't want to out-and-out say they've cancelled something?

i think it's incredibly sad to have such a great show like this gone just like that without showing the remaining episodes. on "indefinate hiatus." often in cancellation, at least you get a heads up.  but murder was committed here. please let cbs know what you think!

i don't know if usa network has changed the website recently, but reruns of robbery homicide show up on the schedule through the end of january at 12:30 a.m. eastern time. no episodes have been named other than "had" and "2028." if at least usa will show the re-runs, this may temporarily alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

it looks as if it is now rhd that lacks a pulse. sorry, guys, the last two episodes probably won't see the light of day either. read about it here:

CBS Pulls Tom Sizemore Cop Show

that doesn't mean i'm pulling the plug on this website, however. it's half complete, i know, but i'll eventually finish it. (busy person that i am. i really am! a perfectionist)

i chose not to put the story about sizemore's arrest on the weekend for battery against an unknown woman until now on purpose. but sources say that his arrest had nothing to do with the cancellation. i feel bad for the man.
old news ...

december 8, 2002

entertainment weekly's december 13, 2002 issue with julianne moore on the cover features a piece called "for better or worse," about tv's winners and losers this season. in the cbs section entitled "what blew," there is a brief blurb about robbery homicide division:

"Facing killer competition from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Michael Mann's detective drama Robbery Homicide Division is a bust at No. 76. 'It's a touch task pulling people away from a show they already like,' sighs Kahl, who's trying RHD on Saturday's this month."

last night's episode "had" did not feature a preview for next week. please write to CBS if you haven't already done so to show your support:

CBS Feedback Forum

the next episode, which i hope to god airs, was directed by ami canaan mann and stars robert hays (Airplane!), who is a native of bethesda, md. hays plays a disgruntled employee who takes over a los angeles rail train. cole goes along for the ride, but must pretend he's not a cop in order to assuage the violence.

in addition, 6 sceenshots added to a life of its own, with some errors corrected on in/famous screenshots page.
