MY FUNNY VALENTINE

Dear Greg,                     Feb. 14, 1999
You are not here with me this valentine's day and you are not forgotten.  Remember the song, "You and Me Against The World".  There is a phrase in that song that says something like;  "When one of us is gone and one of us is left to carry on; we will have our memories to get us through.  Well kiddo that is just what your mom is trying to do and it's not easy.  I'm glad that we were able to build so many memories  together.  I have the gifts that you made for me  for Valentine's day and I cherish each one.
I remember another song that you loved to listen to.  Whenever we went on a trip, you would put the Donna Fargo tape in the player and you would always say; Mom please sing "Funny Face I Love You".  I haven't been able to listen to that song since you went away but, I  can hear it in my mind, especially now.  Remember: "Funny face I love you.  Funny face I need you. These are the sweetest words I ever heard.  Funny face don't leave me; funny face believe me.  My whole world's wrapped up in you."
You are always on my mind and in my heart.  I love you more than words could ever describe.  Happy Valentine's day son.
Love,
Mom
