Demons of the Night Rule Book!
These are a list of rules that everyone in the Guild will abide by 100%. If you break one of these
rules you will be suspended if not barred from the guild until Guild Council and myself talk it over and decide what should be done.
General Rules:
-- When you enter the Demons of the Night you must NEOMAIL RICKIMILLER with how you found us. You will then be promoted to Knight.
This is the only way to get your first promotion.
-- Anyone who doesn't post in 6 months or more may be demoted to a gremlin. This is so that only people who are active are ranked knight or higher. If you find yourself demoted to gremlin, just neomail rickimiller again and ask her to promote you. Also, be sure to post at least once every couple of months or you could be demoted again.
-- You will only be promoted to a Protectorate or higher if you show great dedication to the guild by helping others, posting messages & being active. BEING ACTIVE AND SHOWING DEDICATION IS THE KEY!
-- Any Protectorate who hasn't posted in 3 months or more will be returned to Knight status. If you return, your promotion back to Protectorate will not be automatic. You will have to prove your dedication to the guild and commitment to being active once again.
-- Respect of all Guild Council is a must. They all
worked very hard to get where they are and should not be put down for this. Respect Guild Council and those ranked above you. They will not do you wrong; that is why they are council. They have proven themselves to the guild.
-- You may only advertise or ask people to visit your
shop/trades/auctions once per week. There is only a certain day you are allowed to post.

-- NO BEGGING that people buy something beccause
you're poor or for any other reason. This applies to the message board and neomail. We all started with zero and had to work for what we've got. Click Here for more on this rule & for safety tips to help protect your account.
No begging also means no siggies that show a goal, such as "paint brush fund 200k/500k" or "codestones 5/50."
-- NO SCAMMING

MESSAGE BOARD
-- The use of the message board is open to all BUT misuse of it will cause for suspension if not permanent banning.
-- NO POSTING of hurtful messages that may be hurtful or offensive to anyone else. YOU CAN BE BANNED FOR THIS!!!! If you must speak your mind DO IT IN NEOMAIL AND NOT ON OUR BOARD! This applies especially to posts about political issues, religion and tragedies. People from all over the world play Neopets and are members of DOTN. You may not realize what could be offensive to someone of a different culture than yours and more important, discusssion of politics, religion or real life tragedies is against Neopets rules.
-- No posting of how many nps you have and
NO ASKING OTHERS HOW MUCH THEY HAVE! This is for your own safety.
-- Don't purposely make the board widen out by holding down keyboard letters. Example of this is:
HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYY. This is very annoying.
-- Anyone can post their birthday on the guild calendar, but only members who have
been in the guild for at least a month and are ranked knight or above will receive gifts from the birthday_demon account.
-- No spamming. That means don't clog up the board with short, non-guild-related
messages. No one wants to read pages of "I'm bored" or "Check out my font."
-- No posting of links or Web addresses except
for locations on neopets.com or on the guild Web site. Also, please add spaces when posting a link on the board so as to not stretch out the board.
-- Be careful of your language.
--Please do not use the word "contest" on the guild message board. It is against Neopets' rules to hold contests, which is why we have free events and competitions.
