Friday morning we left in the pouring rain of an approaching hurricane Kyle. It did not look promising for our fall fun weekend. In fact it forced a pizza delivery dinner. Thankfully enough wine was on hand to numb any uneasy feelings about the strong winds of the hurricane as it went by. Saturday morning however came up cloudy and warm but DRY. The men had a really nice round of golf that finished in the sunshine. The girls did their usual lunch and shopping in Beufort, NC. Repeating last year we had a great dinner at Tortugas. Every bit as good as last year. Sunday morning came up bright and sunny. Tee time was 7:44 AM at Star Hill Country club. The condition of this course was excellent as opposed to Silver Creek of yesterday. Lou convinced us to have lunch back at the beach house. He and John would whip up multiple servings of omlets and bacon. Lou, you really can make a very light and delicious omlet. John was excellent at toasting the english muffins. The rest of the day was spent on a very sunny beach with the temperature in the low 80's. Sunday evening produced another fine Happy Hour'S get together followed by a fantastic shrimp boil put on by the ladies after a hard day of shopping and lunching in Swannsboro. unfortunately Johanna and Gary had to leave early and missed the evenings activities. We missed you guys. Over 30 bottles of wine and 2 six packs of beer helped fill the recycling bin. Before we knew it Monday morning was here. John and Lou still had one more act of eggs and bacon in their repertoire and it let us leave on a full stomach. Another successful Emerald Isle weekend was over and the talk of next year was heard in the backround.

PS:  Thank God Art found a dentist.

It was a strange day for Gary. Coming back from golf he was not satisfied with the status of his financial condition so Johanna decided it was time to launder his money. Drying it out was another problem altogether.
