Well off course you can! And not only that, but you would be making much higher quality pages than you would be making otherwise... Have you ever been to some website and you could not get the page because your browser needed to be "upgrade"? Or, have you ever crashed the computer while trying to access a page and then tried again to have the exact same thing happen?
Well this is not necessarily your fault! Most of the time if you cannot access a page and get a message to "upgrade your browser" it is because the web page designer does not know how to make an accessible web page or the server is using some type of software that mimics the bad webmaster.
Most web browsers include a built in web page maker/editor. Often times these very same HTML page generators create faulty HTML code or include in YOUR page some type of code that can only be accessed by those who use the very same browser that you do.
Now let's face it, if you're going to bother making a web page, you probably would like it to be viewed by as many persons as possible and those window like page generators just won't do that for you!
Arachne, a DOS web browser, also has a web page maker/editor. What makes this web page generator superior you ask? Well, the "F4 Web page maker/editor" is not the type of web page generator that automatically include bad HTML code inside your webpage to make it inaccessible to others.
I call it "F4 Web Page Maker/Editor" because you press F4 to use it. And when you do that, you can actually see your web page's "HTML code"... Now at first this might look a bit cryptic but it really isn't! Arachne comes complete with an HTML code examples section! You just view a simple page and then view the simple code that was used to make it! From there, you can experiment and change the code a little to see what happens. And next thing you know, you have become a competent web page author!!!
This small site includes links to Dos HTML tools and examples for you to look at. You will also find links to an online HTML discussion board as well as another to an Arachne online discussion board to help you along.
