CYBERSLAM, REVISITED:

“CYBERSLAM”

Here it is, the famous/infamous remains of Cyberslam. Some could call it a “fake” Cyberslam, but it’s more real than what you’d get at the old Scoopscentral site. Looks a lot like the original thing. Some time I may go in and clean up or add on a few things too. But I wouldn’t bet on it.

BAGMAN’S PROTOTYPE’S AUJAM’S BOARD OF DOOM

(The Legendary Board of Doom, now run by Aujam. Myself and Holy Evil have Minority Owner Roles)

For the years upon years that I have had this site, I never put a link to the BoD up, going back to the old Insidetheweb BoD. Part of the reason was that everyone’s site linked to the BoD, and chances are anyone at my site would already know where it is. But now that I think about it, most of those sites are gone now… or have links to an old address. So, in the off chance that some old-timer types something like “Cslam” or “Cyberslam” or “Board of Doom” into a search engine and gets this site as a hit… they can see that the good ol’ BoD is still around with a lot of old names still calling each other bitches.

Archived BoD: It’s always interesting to take a trip down memory lane. Here are a few glimpses of what Archive.Org has saved. Just a snapshot of a couple of days its history.

<there is another set of BoD messages from Feb 4, 2001, but I can’t seem to access an archived main board… just individual posts and their replies. If anyone wants to try and help me find the main message board in the archives, it would be much appreciated. This is from the time that the BoD was hosted by Wrassle.net, so you’d have to check in archive.org’s pages for Wrassle>

Old Cslam Sites:

These websites have had some longevity and have stuck around after all this time. Some sites are worthy of note, and some pretty much have nothing of interest at all (but even those I’ve included just to be complete). Let’s hope that these links don’t go dead.

CNN (Cyberslam News Network)

http://www.oocities.org/hammerlock_news/

Yes, this page is still up! Can you believe it? I can’t either. From the times when Cyberslam was so popular that it spawned off bunches of unofficial news sites that a lot of people actually read! Wrassle has never been able to achieve this.

CRF: http://thecrf.tripod.com/ and

http://kingcage.tripod.com/

The work of Masterzoma.

CEW: http://www.angelfire.com/wi/mythofcslam/enter.html

What was their OOC board, I think, still survives as the primary Ring Wars OOC chat place. Not that I give a shit about ring wars.

CFL: http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Park/7072/

Not much here at Roman’s CFL site. But it’s interesting to look at an old card for a minute, right? Yeah, I know. Not really.

AWO / iAWO: http://www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/relic14k/ and

http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Lodge/9136/

I don’t really know anything about the AWO other than Pestilence used to be a commish there.

ITFA: http://www.oocities.org/itfacslam/

Guerilla TV: http://www.oocities.org/rehtiw22/

To be honest, I just grabbed this link from Prototype’s site. Apparently it’s not complete, but good enough, eh? Proto apparently has a Cage of Rage archive site too, but the link to it doesn’t work for me. Get your shit together, Proto!

Bobbybob’s Allstars: http://www.oocities.org/bobbybobs_allstars/Allstars.html

BB’s Allstars made a comeback in Wrassle.Net, so some of the content is related to Wrassle. But there are still old Cyberslam pages at the site too, such as Bios for Fleshbasher, Canadian Kid, Killall and others. Nice!

High Court: http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Court/9517/index.html

A site for Genocide’s old stable. Well, I don’t know if Geno made the stable… but that is sure as hell who I associate with it.

Barefoot Bar & Grill: http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Ring/6748/grill.html

Apparently this is the place that the Assassin’s Guild used to hang out. It’s pretty worthless now that the message board it used to have is gone. However it was pretty worthless back then as well… because, you know, it was the place where the Assassin’s Guild hung out.

Widowmaker’s Funeral:

I think this stuff may also be at Chico’s Flash Video Site (also linked through my flash video page). But I’m vaguely recall the html doesn’t work on that site for some reason. Hopefully it works with these.

Web Archive’s Dead Cslam Sites:

These are all that is left of a few famous and memorable pages that were influential and memorable in Cslam’s history but are no longer there. I don’t include these pages with the rest above because they are incomplete. Some of the links within the pages don’t work, some do. Some of the pictures load, some don’t. You know how it goes.

CSPN: http://web.archive.org/web/20000306034916/http://oocities.com/Baja/Mesa/5455/index.html

CSPN2000: http://web.archive.org/web/20030501161238/http://mir.spaceports.com/~cspn2000/

Arguably the best of the CSlam news sites ever made and successor to CSPN. The un-updated page stuck around in limbo for quite a while after CSlam closed down, though the page did become loaded with tons and tons of pop-up ads. But now it ain’t there no more.

CCW: http://web.archive.org/web/20000615000555/ccw.cyberslam.com/

CBF: http://web.archive.org/web/20030502201028/www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Ring/3669/index.html

I was in the CBF for a short time, and remember this being a great site. All behold the place where huge names like Al Bradd, Chevalier and Satanspimp used to come in CSlam’s heyday.

Alternative CRF Site: http://web.archive.org/web/20000129201603/www.oocities.org/TimesSquare/Ring/9523/index.html

Bagman’s News & Views: http://web.archive.org/web/20021211200405/http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/zipomatic/news.html

Blood Brothers: http://web.archive.org/web/20010728013905/www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Loge/3133/

The Revolution: http://web.archive.org/web/20000312011320/members.tripod.com/cslam_revolution/index.html

Holcombe “Wrestling Federation”: http://web.archive.org/web/20010428085304/http://comp.uark.edu/~holcombe/

Okay, I know. This isn’t a Cyberslam site at all. But let’s face it… not placing it here would mean I missed a chance to insult Mightymark. Doesn’t look like too much is left here though.
