A HEART DOESN'T FORGET

I held you in my arms that day,
Gently I dried your tears,
Chasing all your clouds away
My love calmed all your fears.

A heart doesn't forget,
A mother's love will never die.
On the wings of Angels,
To you in heaven it flies.

All excited you ran to me,
Your little hand in mine, your face, aglow
So full of wonder, you wanted me to see,
Your smile, so pure, as that fresh fallin' snow.

A heart doesn't forget,
A mother's love will never die.
On the wings of Angels,
To you in heaven it flies.

I kissed your cheek, when I put you to bed,
One last kiss, as I turned out the light
"mommy I love you"  were the last words you said.
That moment is frozen in time, you died in the night.

A heart doesn't forget,
A mother's love will never die.
On the wings of Angels,
To you in heaven it flies.
