REGISTRATION: JUNIOR CAMP -- Monday June 15, 2009 -- 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
                            SENIOR CAMP -- Sunday, June 21, 2009 ---9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Registration for all camps will be held in the lobby of the Snow Fine Arts Center on the campus of
The Univeristy of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas.  If you pay the balance
in full before camp,
you may go directly to the choir room for a dorm room assignment and NOT have to go through the
main registration line.  There is no key depost, but if you do not turn in your key on the last day of
camp there will be a $40.00 charge.  There will also be a $10.00 charge for a lost ACCESS CARD.  No student may tryout until all fees are paid.  The first meal provided by camp will be the evening meal of the first day of camp...Monday evening for Jr. Camp...Sunday evening for Sr. Camp..

ENROLLMENT will be limited to 750 students ON CAMPUS per week!!!
There is no limit on OFF CAMPUS enrollment.


CANCELLATIONS:  No CANCELLATION REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER JUNE 1st, or
to students leaving camp early or students dismissed from camp for any reason.  A $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged to those canceling before the June 1st deadline.

WHAT TO BRING:  Bring your own toilet articles, towels, 2 sheets (not fitted), pillow, light blanket,
rainwear, musical instrument, and "Sunday" outfit for final concert.  If you plan to attend the final "Formal Dance" please bring an additional 'Nice' outfit...no shorts or jeans at his dance please!  Majorettes & Flags,
....bring YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT (batons, flags, etc.) as NONE will be avaliable from the University.

WHAT NOT TO BRING:  Possession or use of any illegal weapon, alcholic beverage or unauthorized controlled substances will result in immediate dismissal from camp and notification of the proper authorities!  Skate Boards, Roller Skates, Roller Blades, etc. are not allowed. Televisions, Refrigerators, Microwaves, Computers and elaborate Stereo Equipment are discouraged.

RECREATION:  Bring gym or tennis shoes and clothes suitable for sports activities such as tennis, softball and swimming (no cutoffs).  The SENIOR camp Thursday night dance theme will be
DYNAMIC DUO!!!

AUTOS:  Except for OFF-CAMPUS students, no student is allowed to RIDE IN or OPERATE an
automoblie, motorcycle, etc. while attending camp.  If exceptions are made, it will only be because of
unusual circumatances and with permission granted by a member of the Dixie Band Camp Board.  Leave your SkateBoards at home!!!

LEAVING CAMPUS:  If it is NECESSARY for you to leave campus, you MUST have written permission
from your parents, and approval from the camp office.

Mid-Week Concerts - Senior Camp ONLY- Tuesday 23rd - Beginning at 6:45 p.m. in Waldron Auditorium.

FINAL BAND CONCERTS:  JUNIOR CAMP -- Saturday, June 20th, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in Waldron Auditorium & the Student Center Ball Room.  
SENIOR CAMP -- Saturday, June 27th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Reynolds Auditorium.

JAZZ BAND CONCERT
S:  Junior Jazz Bands -----Friday, June 19th @ 4:00 p.m.
                                         Senior Jazz Bands-----Friday, June 26th @ 3:45 p.m.
                                         (All Jazz Band concerts in Waldron Auditorium)
All students are REQUIRED to participate in the final concerts.  Urge your parents and friends to attend this free concert.

CHECKOUT:
The last day of camp, you may check out of your dorm either before or after your final  concert....specific check out schedule and check out procedure will be announced at camp.

TRYOUTS
:  There will be a camp meeting at 1:00 p.m. on the first day of camp, in the Ida Waldron Auditorium to go over tryout procedure.  Bring your instrument to this meeting, as you will
depart from there and go directly to tryouts

DORM ROOMMATES
:  If you have a preferred roommate....BOTH of you should go to the Dorm Registration area TOGETHER and request your room.  We cannot make dorm or room assignments
before the first day of camp.

MEALS
:  All meals will be served in the Christian Cafeteria!!!  (((-:

OFF-CAMPUS STUDENTS
:  This year your noon meal WILL BE FURNISHED.  Please be aware that
because you are staying off campus, your daily schedule may be somewhat different than that of the other campers, especially with regard to free time and night activities.  PARENTS, the pick-up and drop-off
point should be in front of the Snow Fine Arts Center.  STUDENTS, please let your parents know when
to be there to pick you up at the end of the day and also after the night activities.  There will be a special meeting the first day of camp at 12:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall in the Snow Fine Arts Center to give OFF-CAMPUS students additional information. It is important that you attend this 12:30 meeting.  Your parents are encouraged to attend as well

RETURNED CHECK POLICY
:  There will be a $25.00 Returned Check Fee. We will attempt to contact you ONE TIME, via phone or mail ...after that your Check will be turned over to the Prosecuting Attorney for collection.:

Y:  Tentative dates for the Optional Wild River Country trip are;
                                          Wednesday evening of JUNIOR CAMP.
