"May the Best Team Fly High!"
* * *
SO INDULGE ME...I HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF TRINIDAD SILVA. THE KID THAT MADE IT OUT OF MADERO. MY GRANDPARENTS AND ONE OF MY AUNTS LIVED IN MADERO. HE ATTENDED MISSION SCHOOLS. I REMEMBER HIM LEANING UP AGAINST THE WALL AT THE CORNER OF CONWAY AND GARZA'S GROCERY STORE IN MISSION, WHICH IS NOW A PARKING LOT. HE TURNED OUT TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS, I USED TO FOLLOW HIS CAREER...ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES IS STILL "THE MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR"...PICTURED ALSO IS MERCED SOLIS, A.K.A. TITO SANTANA, MHS CLASS OF 1971 AND DAVE SILVA, MHS CLASS OF 1970. TRINIDAD WAS KILLED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT ON JULY 31, 1988.
REST IN PEACE, TIN TIN.
Forever Friends
The strength of one, the strength of all,
The class of ‘70 did stand tall.
Through years of trials, joys, sorrows,
We can always look at bright tomorrows.
Some of the class of 70 have left this life,
The pain and sorrow have cut like a knife.
But, memories remain of the times that we had,
Recalling the good times, we shoudn't be sad.
Our lives move on, in life, love, and war,
And, as Mighty Eagles, we will always soar!
