William Gregory Lee

This is from Teenmag.com's Who's That Babe section.

Name: William Gregory Lee

D.O.B.: January 24, 1973 (Aquarius)

P.O.B.: Virginia Beach,Virginia

Height: 6'

Family: Sister, Stephanie, who is two and a half years older, and a little brother, Brian, who is 12 years younger. Both of them still live in Virginia. Mom is a retired insurance agent and Dad is a contractor.

Where you've seen him: Greg played Virgil, the son of Joxer, in a recurring role on "Xena: Warrior Princess." Now, he's Zack on FOX's "Dark Angel." Greg says his character is "kind of like Max's (Jessica Alba) brother, but not her brother." "He's very hard," says Greg. "He doesn't ever want to let his guard down, ever." We're sure he's sweet as pie on the inside though.

Big Break: greg comes from a pretty big family, he has His big break came when he was cast in the NBC series "Wind on Water" about a family of ranchers in Hawaii. Greg played Bo Derek's son who participated in extreme sports in order to supplement his family's income after his father died. Interesting concept. The network only aired two episodes, but Greg seems to have bounced back OK.

Sci-Fi Stardom: After his role on "Xena", Greg gained a following among the show's fans. He has even gone to a few "Xena" conventions. Apparently, it's quite an experience. "I think people take your role on TV to heart," explains Greg. "They believe what they see on TV period, and they kind of judge you that way." Some fans are more committed than others. "A lot of people ask if they can take you out to dinner, can they show you around, can you give them a Xena handshake," says Greg. He admits he has no idea what the "Xena handshake" is. Not that he's complaining, he claims they're "They're the greatest fans in the world to have."

What an Angel: He really enjoys his work on "Dark Angel" and considers it a great opportunity. The show is very stunt-heavy, and Greg does some stunts himself, but has a double who does a lot too. He says the show has a great stunt coordinator and great double, "who make us look really good." "I've got some martial arts background but nothing compared to what my double does," he explains. Kickin' Butt: When asked for some "scoop" from the "Dark Angel" set, Greg admits, "I did accidentally brake some guy's nose." Apparently, they were shooting a fight scene and, "on the first take, the coordinator comes over to the stunt guy, and he's like, 'Look he's coming about an inch away from your face, you've gotta pull back,' and the [stunt] guy's like, 'Don't worry about it, I've got it covered.' So we do the second take, and it feels like my foot barely hit something," says Greg. "I couldn't see where I was kicking because of the way everything was set up. So when we get done, they yell cut, the coordinator runs over, and the guy has his hand over his nose and he's bleeding everywhere." I guess Greg doesn't know his own strength. "I felt worse than you could ever possibly imagine," says Greg, "because the last thing I would ever want to do is intentionally hurt anybody." Right on!

California Dreamin': Greg moved to Los Angeles about four years ago. Before that he was living in New York City. "I wanted to get some training under my belt before I came out to L.A.," explains Greg. "I knew ultimately [this] was where I wanted to be, but I think the blizzard in 1996 is what made me say, 'You know what....' That kind of did it for me." And he's been a California boy ever since.

Mr. Jock:These days, Greg spends long hours at the gym to keep his bod in shape. In high school, he played football, and that's still his favorite sport. "I'm a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan," says Greg. His favorite basketball team is the Lakers, and most of the TV he watches revolves around sports. When he was younger, he also did semi-pro freestyle bike riding. "The kind of stuff you see on extreme sports now," he says. "I broke a lot of bones." After high school, he started surfing. He also used to bowl pretty seriously (with the wrist brace and everything), and even bowled a high score of 279!

Taken: Greg's got a woman, and they've been together for about four years! They live together and she works in computers. "We've known each other since the first grade," says Greg. "We were good friends through junior high and high school. She went off to college, and I went off to do my thing, and then we kind of bumped into each other out here."
